It was my first time going to CRIMSON HOTEL in ALABANG. Although I would always see the iconic building every time I would visit down south, I would always just pass it by.
One foot in and I was surprised. The lobby gave out a glow. A very relaxed tone, travelers would enjoy staying here while waiting for their appointment. There are well appointed chairs, couches, and tables that would let weary guests rest for a bit.
Moving on, food is important for any patron. As such, CAFE 8 of CRIMSON HOTEL created A TASTE OF VIETNAM promotion. Here, guest chefs offer a wide array of authentic Vietnamese specialties.
But, that was not all. Aside from the special selection, the buffet at CAFE 8 is lined up with intercontinental dishes.
Appetizers such as different types of cheese, meat cuts, and a create your own salad bar was present.
Of course, main dishes were also there. For the Sunday Buffet, they had oysters, mussels, shrimps and even crayfish to entice the appetite.
The carving station featured a huge slab of wagyu just to get everyone going. Juices were retained and the meat was flavorful and tender.
The main attraction though would be the VIETNAMESE section.
Here, different delicacies were served and created.
From the familiar salads to the Vietnamese Spring roll, one can't help but salivate at everything that they prepared.
I was pleasantly surprised with the FISH PHO. A stock soup of fish is mixed with different herbs and spices. One could opt for it to be a bit spicy but having it mild let's the flavor pop out.
The product was an ingenious and authentic version of PHO. I couldn't help but be at awe at the flavors. It was delicious. Noting that there was no msg used, the skill and hard work paid off for the chefs.
Another tranditional item, the BANH MI was served. Crunchy bread with a mixture of different ingredients filled it up.
Other dishes include the Shrimp cooked in tamarind sauce and even vegetables partnered with a pork topping. These two dishes would go well with rice.
Dessert was also masterfully done. Sticky rice, Vientnamese version, was molded into different offerings. One has a pandan flavor while the other went towards nuts. Partnered with other sweet endings, the buffet is just perfect. Take note, VIETNAMESE COFFEE is also available.
Amazing work done by Chefs Nguyen Thi Khanh, Tran Kim Hoang Trong, and Vo Van Chien from Vietnam. Look for them and try to ask about the different ingredients. I'm sure they could inspire you and tempt you to eat more.
With free flowing drinks, the buffet at CRIMSON HOTEL just got better. A TASTE OF VIETNAM would run until March 18, 2017. Lunch buffet is pegged at Php 1,235++ and dinner would be at Php 1,410 ++.
