PARTY TRAYS AND MORE FROM HA-INAN DELIVERY in Mandaluyong

When I don't have the time nor the patience, I just pick up the phone and have some food delivered. It's quick, easy, painless, and gives you a lot of options. Although fast food delivery seems to be the norm, it pays out to go for old fashion home cooking specially when you're having a party. During one of those days, I received something in the mail. It's was a party pack from Ha-Inan Delivery and Take Out.
HA-INAN is a delivery and take out place in Mandaluyong. They offer combination meals and even party trays that would be perfect for potlucks and even small events. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the pricing is quite affordable compared to other places. One could start out with some Crispy Okoy (45Php for 5). They're these seafood patty that everyone wants to just dip in vinegar sauce.
Next up would be these huge Chicken Lollipop (24Php per piece). I was surprised when I saw how big these babies were. It's also properly seasoned and quite heavy.
A party won't be complete without some pancit. Ha-Inan has a number of variants to pick from. They offer Bihon Guisado, Canton Guisado, Pancit Malabon, Pancit Malabon Negra, and even Spaghetti for the kids.
Quite a favorite among Filipinos, the SISIG (170/320 Php) is a must order. Juicy and has mix of everything you would need, each spoonful would be perfect with rice.
It's way easier to have your food delivered with Ha-Inan Food Delivery. If you're in the area of Mandaluyong, the charge is only 50 Php. On the other hand, Makati, San Juan, and some parts of Pasig, Taguig, and Quezon City has a charge of 100 Php.

TENYA AND RACKS JOIN TOGETHER TO GIVE BACK FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This holiday season two great restaurants join together to give back to their chosen charities. RACKS AND TENYA have both partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the Make-A Wish Foundation respectively. A portion of their special sets will be donated to these non-profit organizations.
In TENYA, they offer the WINTER SEAFOOD TENDON. These Christmas bowls could be customized and are priced for just Php 395. They have tiger prawn, soft shell crab, salmon and a few more tempura surprises.
For RACKS, they brought in the big guns by offering THE BACON CRUSTED PORK RIBS.
This baby might not look as appetizing as the other dishes but it's delicious and straightforward.
The saltiness of the bacon crust went perfectly well with the soft and tender meat of the rib. Add a little bit of their secret bbq sauce and you are good to go!
They also offer these for different number of diners and guests. Patrons dining alone could available of a quarter slab while big groups could go for a huge PLATTER! Remember to try ou their broccoli and cheese. It's a "healthy" surprise.
RACKS and TENYA would be offering these items on their menu up until January 15, 2018 in all RACKS and TENYA BRANCHES.

EDSA SHANGRI-LA HOPFEST: 2017 Beery Important Event

Since it is October, one of the things that I look forward to during this month would be the celebration of Oktoberfest. Mainly to enjoy good times with friends and loved ones, this German festival is perfect for the Filipino community.
This coming October 14-15, Edsa Shangri-La will be the home of HOPFEST. A gathering of more than twelve local microbreweries that will offer more than thirty beer variants. During this time, guests could either go for a beer flight for only 500Php or a package that could have unlimited craft beer and wood-fired pizza for Php1,200.
From 3-11pm, the pool side bar will be transformed into the place to be at. Beer will be free flowing for BEER-Y important persons and it would be one heck of an event.
Just over the weekend, a media preview was held to give a sneak peak into some of the beers that would be present during the HOPFEST.

Different courses were served and paired with craft beers that were locally made. One very notable drink would be the LIMELIGHT. Specially brewed for Edsa Shangri-La, this beer goes down easily. It's light in a sense that it isn't too bitter. It goes well with seafood dishes as well.
HOPFEST would be on October 14-15, 2017. From 3-11pm at the pool side bar, guests have the option to go for a beer flight (500Php) or go all out and indulge with unlimited beer and pizza at (1,200Php).

MEGA FOOD FEST 2017: Dishes to Try at this Food Festival

Whenever eating out, it might be quite a problem for everyone to agree to a certain restaurant or even cuisine. At SM MEGAMALL, they decided to have the MEGA FOOD FEST again exactly for that reason. It's to bring all the best restaurants in one place for the dining public.
During September 5-10, SM MEGAMALL is proud to present the MEGA FOOD FEST 2017. During this time, a bigger number of restaurants will be gathering in the Mega Fashion Hall Ground Floor to have a free for all for everyone visiting. They will be offering different dishes just to entice you to try them out.
The Standard Hospitality group came out with guns blazing as they served different types of bao's and sliders from YABU, IPPUDO, and MIGHTY QUINN'S.
Different Japanese Rolls are offered by Sushi Nori. Very filling, you get to have a fushion of flavors.
MAKANSUTRA was also well prepared. Some of their dishes would include this Chicken Rice as well as LAKSA, and other rice meals.
FIRESIDE was also there. They had their crispy chicken with those beautiful home made donuts. Partnered with some gravy and honey sauce, you get sweet and savory in each bite.
The MOMENTS GROUP sent on over 8 Cuts Burger and Linguini Fini in the fray. Burgers and pizza sounds like the best snacks (or meal) one could go for.
Asian Flavors were also represented pretty well. Aside from NAV'S spring rolls, you also get a taste of VIETNAM with BAHN MI KITCHEN. Freshly made and prepared, these banh mi are delicious and addictive.
Drinks are also a must in this FOOD FEST. Here we have NITRO 7's. Nitrogen is infused in coffee making it creamier and smoother. Furthermore, we also have a Jamba Juice there as well.
Figure conscious foodies would enjoy BLISS BOWL with their nutritious offerings. Plus POKE POKE is also there for something refreshing and healthy.
If that's not enough, we have LUCCA for dessert as well as Lost Bread, BLK 513, LLAO LLAO, and yes even Auntie Anne's.

IPPUDO: More Than Just Ramen

There comes a time when noodles and ramen would be never enough. As Filipinos, we usually like to eat different viands in each meal. It's never just going to be noodles or just deep fried dishes or plain old meat. There has to be something else to get us going. Personally, that's how my family does it and I'm guessing that's how others prefer it as well.
ENTER IPPUDO. Known as a ramen place, they have been innovating and coming up with new dishes ever so often. They like to entice foodies to come on over not just for the classics but for something else. More so, that they offer other worthwhile dishes instead of just being RAMEN.
Just like that, a dish was placed on our table and torched. It was IPPUDO'S version of an ABURI. The TORCHED SALMON ROLL is a favorite. Topped with metaiko mayo and fish roe, it had a familiar taste. It was something similar to bite sized salmon which had heavy Japanese Mayo flavorings. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more metaiko in it. Nonetheless, this is a must order.
The TEBA GYOZA is another winner. This is known as dumplings on steroids. Stuffed with meaty gyoza filling, this chicken wing dish is perfect to partner with SAPPORO BEER.
Something different and not really Japanese, the CLAM CHOWDER RAMEN was brought in. This one is actually an import from IPPUDO NEW YORK. It was redeveloped for the Filipino palette and as such served with BACON. They would suggest for you to crack the bacon into tiny bits and have it spread all over the dish.
Unique for this dish, the BLACK PEPPER NOODLES were used. This compliments the tonkotsu broth together with the bechamel sauce. The clams and the parmesan cheese made it a bit heavy but a joy to eat. Definitely, more and more options are preferred here at IPPUDO.
