RESORTS WORLD GENTING: Malaysia's Cool Playground

 Who knew I would be back within a week? I found myself in Malaysia again but this time it was more for pleasure. I was there with my brother for an exciting and memorable vacation. Remember when I won the POKER TOURNAMENT in RESORTS WORLD MANILA? (check that out here) , one of the prizes was an all expense paid vacation to Malaysia. Not just anywhere in Malaysia but in RESORTS WORLD GETING.
 
Granted that most first time visitors to Malaysia would stay downtown to check out the Petronas Towers and even grab a bite in IKEA, RESORTS WORLD GENTING is a different place that sets you apart from everything else.
There are many ways to get to RESORTS WORLD GENTING, the most scenic and exciting way though would be through the use of their gondolas. If you have the guts, go for a glass floor version so that you could see what's below.
 RESORTS WORLD GENTING is an integrated resort that has everything one would want.
 The complex is huge. With different hotels, shopping areas, events places, and even a stunning casino.
 Since the place is on a mountain, you get the chance to dine on the clouds. The restaurants are vast and aplenty. You could go for something romantic or even as casual as you can get.
 One restaurant specializes in those special experiences that you may want to have with your loved one.
 Or you may want to try out some local delicacies in their "food court-like" area that serves different well known Malaysian and Asian dishes.
 Even if RESORTS WORLD GENTING is on top of a mountain, they have the freshest seafood to offer. Some oysters are amazing as appetizers.
 And yes, you could also go for some lobsters. They have a BURGER AND LOBSTER (check the place out here.) that always has a queue. Honestly, I'd gladly wait for a table in this restaurant.
And meat is also a big deal. You could never go wrong with it.
 As mentioned, ENTERTAINMENT is a big chunk of what RESORTS WORLD GENTING is all about. Aside from the gigantic casino, they have regular theatre shows.
 I was thankful that I was able to watch one with my brother and even get a picture taken with the cast.
RESORTS WORLD GENTING is the place to be at when in MALAYSIA. The weather is perfect. It's cool and the food divine.

BURGER AND LOBSTER in RESORTS WORLD GENTING: SKY AVENUE'S SEAFOOD DELIGHT

It seems normal but it wasn't. It was a special experience only you could have at RESORTS WORLD GENTING. Stepping out of the limo, dropping the bags at the hotel and being escorted straight into to a packed restaurant with a long line seems too good to be true. But, it was! It was the start of my MALAYSIAN RESORTS WORLD GENTING ADVENTURE.

The restaurant to enjoy first in Malaysia's Genting Highlands would be the BURGER and LOBSTER. The first and only in Southeast Asia, this pub-like joint does things incredible good yet simple. No reservations though as they have a strict lining up policy. Hence, going at an off peak time might be best.
As you walk inside, you are greeted by huge lobsters. A gigantic cage is right by the entrance enticing guests to get one and have them cooked based on their preference. As the name of the restaurant implies, this is a place for all of your seafood dreams. LOBSTERS to be precise. First thing first though, drinks are a must.
After coming off from an almost 2 hour ride from the airport, arriving in GENTING GRAND (check out my experience of this great hotel here), one would definitely need a drink or two. Signature cocktails would definitely hit the mark but for something refreshing the SOFT SHELLS option would work. The TIME KEEPER made with black tea, calamansi lime, kafir lime leaf, and palm sugar is genius. Sweet but not overly so.
If there was only a couple of dishes that you would have to try out, it would be the BURGER and the LOBSTER ROLL. For the burger, you should go with the B and L BURGER. A combination of BEEF and LOBSTER MEAT, it is topped with lettuce, tarragon and Truffle Sauce. It may be a bit of a bite but they meat compliment each other.  Served in a toasted Brioche roll, the LOBSTER ROLLS are also their best sellers. One could go for something chilli but the ORIGINAL would work best.
A dish that was created and is served only for Malaysia would be the CHILLI LOBSTER. Served in a clay pot, the lobster is drowned in chilli sauce. Making the flavor very authentic and familiar with the local guest. Not overly spicy, you could use the brioche to scoop up the sauce.
But to properly taste the LOBSTERS you could go for them either steamed or grilled. In this instance, the GRILLED version seems more delicious. Partnered with either clarified butter of B&L's famous lemon and garlic butter sauce, you can't help but to keep on getting those meat of of those shell. Delicious.

BURGER AND LOBSTER is but one of the many food establishments inside the newly opened SKY AVENUE. It is here that you could get a chance to feel, taste, and enjoy everything to your hearts content. The lobsters are all flown in and are delivered alive and fresh.

GENTING GRAND HOTEL: GENTING HIGHLANDS' AMAZING STAY

A quick escape would be one of the things that everyone would enjoy. At RESORTS WORLD GENTING, they offer you that and more. To be precise, GENTING GRAND HOTEL can take care of your every needs and wants.
Located in GENTING HIGHLANDS, MALAYSIA, GENTING GRAND is one of the premier hotels situated in the huge compound. Just an hour away from Kuala Lumpur and an additional 45 minutes from the Airport, GENTING HIGHLANDS is mostly taken cared of by RESORTS WORLD GENTING. One of their hotels, GENTING GRAND offers an amazing touch of hospitality and service towards its patrons.
With a number of suites available for its guests, GENTING GRAND delivers. A comfortable resting area partnered with a spacious bathroom is just what anyone would need. The living room area is covered with plush pillows and has its own flat screen television. The washroom has his and hers sink while the bath tub is separate from the shower.
The bed is a different part all together. Having its own television and cabinet makes it feel like home. A study table is also present for those quick business dealings and the view shows the different buildings and hotels in the area.
In its ground floor, a pathway goes towards the spa and the gym. The SPA offers a plethora of services that are ideal after a long day of having fun. Aside from the jacuzzi, steam bath, and a resting area, they also offer facials and foot massages as well.
The gym is also well stocked. Different equipment line up the floor. From cardio to weight training, gym buffs would enjoy a visit to this one.
Turn down service is also available as every time you come back after dinner you find your room cleaned, prepared and ready for a night's rest. The bed is also amazing and very comfortable.
GENTING GRAND HOTEL is just one of the few places to visit and stay at when in RESORTS WORLD GENTING. This hotel also has an exclusive rate for members and select guests of Resorts World.

AIR ASIA SANTAN FOOD FESTIVAL: INFLIGHT MEALS TO CRAVE FOR

 
With traveling becoming more and more accessible and affordable, AIR ASIA wants you to get comfortable with all the amenities that you would need and want without breaking the bank. Hence, they hosted the first ever SANTAN FOOD FESTIVAL. An event to showcase the different inflight dishes that they serve, it is here that you get to see and experience the taste and flavors of SANTAN.
 When one thinks of MALAYSIA, the first place that comes into mind would be the PETRONAS TOWERS. Standing tall, this twin skyscrapers are home to different offices and businesses. Other than this, MALAYSIA is also known for being the base of AIR ASIA. ENTER THE RED Q.
 RED Q is the headquarters of the AIR ASIA GROUP. An impressive office, here we could see an open environment for everyone to interact and get their creative juices on.
 As you enter, you are greeted by the feeling of relaxation while in a work mode atmosphere. Bean bags and other comfortable seating arrangement are right smack in the middle.
 Holding the SANTAN FOOD FESTIVAL event here gave influencers and the media a glimpse into the different dishes AIR ASIA wants to share. Being the first ever, this is the largest inflight food tasting event in ASIA. Featuring meals from across the region, AIR ASIA wants its guests to enjoy and have a peek into the culture and different flavors one has to offer. It's like you're already traveling and experiencing food even while on the plane.
 According to AIRASIA GROUP CEO TAN SRI TONY FERNANDES, food is a unifying factor across the region. It's one of the reasons why we travel. Thus, they created this endeavor. SANTAN which means coconut, is the unifying term used to describe the different flavours of the ASEAN that AIR ASIA wants to deliver.
 From the latest signature dish of THAI GREEN CURRY, one could also go for the NASI LEMAK. It's like a mixture of spices and heritage rolled into the dishes. The Curry is a semi-spicy dish that is partnered with fluffy fragrant white rice. On the other hand, the Nasi Lemak is your meal on steroids. It has different parts that makes everything work. From the crispy fried anchovies to the salted peanuts and the chicken, scattered over rice cooked with coconut.
 Aside from these, they also had CHICKEN WITH MISO, CHICKEN ADOBO, PAD THAI, and even a mix of Indian food to add to the growing choices. Favorites though would have to be the ADOBO and the PAD THAI. Innovating more, AIR ASIA plans to use green packaging and even install an electronic system to make ordering and payment easier for the guests.
