Believe it or not, I was present at last year's version and I have to say that it is one heck of a show. Just as an example, there were a number of bags sold at 90% off. Think about the other things they have for us this year.
There are different items for you to choose from. I suggest that you do a quick sweep and check out the location of each items you are eyeing to buy. Powerbanks, Earphones, Speakers, and Cellphone Cases are all there for you to grab. Just be sure to be there early as the mall opens. Last year, lines were crazy that it even extended all the way to a few floors down. It's that amazing.
Here are some of the deals that they posted on their Facebook page. For sure, they have more items that would entice you to head on over.

I'm actually eyeing on a couple of earphones, a speaker, and even some powerbanks. Plus, maybe a bunch of cellphone cases as well. Hope to see you guys there.

MEGA FOOD FEST 2017: Dishes to Try at this Food Festival

Whenever eating out, it might be quite a problem for everyone to agree to a certain restaurant or even cuisine. At SM MEGAMALL, they decided to have the MEGA FOOD FEST again exactly for that reason. It's to bring all the best restaurants in one place for the dining public.
During September 5-10, SM MEGAMALL is proud to present the MEGA FOOD FEST 2017. During this time, a bigger number of restaurants will be gathering in the Mega Fashion Hall Ground Floor to have a free for all for everyone visiting. They will be offering different dishes just to entice you to try them out.
The Standard Hospitality group came out with guns blazing as they served different types of bao's and sliders from YABU, IPPUDO, and MIGHTY QUINN'S.
Different Japanese Rolls are offered by Sushi Nori. Very filling, you get to have a fushion of flavors.
MAKANSUTRA was also well prepared. Some of their dishes would include this Chicken Rice as well as LAKSA, and other rice meals.
FIRESIDE was also there. They had their crispy chicken with those beautiful home made donuts. Partnered with some gravy and honey sauce, you get sweet and savory in each bite.
The MOMENTS GROUP sent on over 8 Cuts Burger and Linguini Fini in the fray. Burgers and pizza sounds like the best snacks (or meal) one could go for.
Asian Flavors were also represented pretty well. Aside from NAV'S spring rolls, you also get a taste of VIETNAM with BAHN MI KITCHEN. Freshly made and prepared, these banh mi are delicious and addictive.
Drinks are also a must in this FOOD FEST. Here we have NITRO 7's. Nitrogen is infused in coffee making it creamier and smoother. Furthermore, we also have a Jamba Juice there as well.
Figure conscious foodies would enjoy BLISS BOWL with their nutritious offerings. Plus POKE POKE is also there for something refreshing and healthy.
If that's not enough, we have LUCCA for dessert as well as Lost Bread, BLK 513, LLAO LLAO, and yes even Auntie Anne's.

POUND in SM MEGAFASHION HALL: BURGER MADNESS

Fries and burgers. Two of the things that has brought people together. Different places in the metro has these two but only a few specializes in it. One of those restaurants would be POUND.
Opened for a time now, POUND expanded by having a new branch in SM MEGAFASHION HALL. Located on the 2nd floor of the new wing of megamall, POUND has a black and white feel.
With a menu that is straight forward, guests are invited to pick different sandwiches or burgers with sides and even customize them to their liking. One could start with some truffle fries or even poutine. Aside from these potato dishes, you could also go for something not traditionally available in other restaurants. Fried pickles, chilis and even truffle risotto tater tots would satisfy your craving.
If you're not feeling adventurous, BACON and EGG SLIDERS could do the treat. A gateway into burgers, house cured bacon and quail eggs are put together. The addition of Apple Aioli makes it a treat.
Meat on meat is a nice way to start any day. The AMSTERDAM BURGER is quite impressive. The ground beef patty is joined with pastrami, gruyere, sauekraut and other add ons.
If you're not into burgers, you might want to try the fried chicken sliders. Sweet spice is placed with crispy pickled slaw and cilantro aioli along with the chicken bits. Juicy and interesting.
One of the most impressive addition to any burger or sandwich would be the bone marrow. A huge chunk of it is served on the side. Scoopfuls of marrow are rich and deadly addition to any meal.
For the main event, the POUND FOIE GRAS BURGER would be the best bet. Seared foie gras is added on top of a foie gras mousse to make this burger savory and delicious. Each bite can make you swirl.
To end a meal, a sweet ending of a sundae would be ideal. Cubes of brownies and other sinful delight are placed on top scoops of ice cream. Definite way to end the day.
POUND by TODD ENGLISH is how you define burger perfection. Easy to customize and eat, you won't go wrong with any of the dishes they provide.

YABU's New Japanese Styled Burgers

After munching and munching the entire day, YABU was up next. Yes I was really full already but who can say no to YABU.
Because innovation is the key. That and the creative minds behind Yabu wanted to give more choices to its loyal customers. As such, they introduced the KATSU BURGERS.

Before going to the main dishes, MOZZARELLA KATSU STICKS (260Php) were placed infront of us. Coated with golden panko, tossed in a special blend of Furikake, served with spicy aioli dip.
Without a doubt, this has got to be one of those gooey and worthy dishes in their snack section. The Cheese literally melts in your mouth. Perfect!
Moving on to the main event, the KATSU BURGERS.
First up is the CRUNCHY EBI KATSU BURGER (420Php). Filled with chunks of black tiger prawns, topped with shredded cabbage, shiso leaves, Japanese pickles, spicy aioli and caramelized onion jam in a toasted brioched bun.
I enjoyed the shrimp factor of this katsu burger. Having real bite sized shrimp inside the patty made my mouth jump in joy. You see, I love shrimps. The bread partnered well with the shrimp. Love it.
On the other end of the spectrum is the MENCHI KATSU BURGER (390Php). Menchi katsu stuffed with double cheese combo of cheddar and havarti. It also has shredded cabbage, shiso leaves. Japanese pickles, spicy aioli and caramelized onion jam.
Look at this baby. This cheesy burger perfection. One bite in and you are greeted with a lot of cheesy goodness. Partnered with the fries, you can't go wrong with this. Be thankful, they just started to serve this just this NOVEMBER 23, 2015. Last Monday! So enjoy enjoy enjoy!
To end the meal, LAVA CAKE (185Php) was served. Warm and molten laval cake with miso butterscotch served with a scoop of ice cream and caramel cookies.
Look at that chocolate center. Gooey and oozing out of the cake. The use of the miso butterscotch was plain genius. Who would have known?

YABU has done it again. Not only has YABU entered the market first with delicious katsus but it has also captured the stomachs of Katsu loving foodies in the metro. Cheers.
