RESORTS WORLD MANILA: I LOVE DISH!

Don't you love it when you're able to have fun and enjoy but still help another person? At Resorts World Manila, different favorite celebrities come together to create dishes that would entice guests and help different beneficiaries.
Just a week ago, Resorts World Manila introduced the I LOVE DISH. A campaign that brought together different celebrities and the amazing Chef Cyrille Soenen to create dishes that would be delicious and in the same way help charitable institutions.
To start, Chef Luigi Mulach created the SINUGLAW SA ALIGUE. Almost similar to ceviche, Chef Luigi's version is his take on the classic Filipino pulutan. Cooked with vinegar, coconut milk, and crab fat, this must not be missed. You could get this at THE TERRACE at Maxims Hotel and in Bar 360 at RWM Gaming Area.
Something different, Stephanie Zubiri created the Sambal-Spiced Mixed Mushroom Farfalle. Think pasta with a creamy mushroom background. It's actually not that spicy and fits the bill as it could be ordered at Impressions.
Meg Imperial's Paremesan Crusted Chicken Breast is a quick yet filling meal. The meat was coated pretty well that it gives a bit of a crunchy texture. This one could be availed at Cafe Maxims.
The Donita Rose created not one but two dishes. Aside from the Creamy Mango Strawberry Jelly, she also made a juicy chicken treat for everyone. The Ginataang Chicken Adobo was pampered with a creamy coconut marinate. You could try this out at Silogue, GF Gaming Area.
Dimples Romana went for the SALTED EGG PRAWNS. Other establishments might have this dish but could be a bit dry. On the contrary, this version is perfectly seasoned and filled with the salted egg sauce. This is available at PASSION.
Dessert was incredible. Personally, I didn't think that they could do a lot with sweet endings yet SAM OH went above and beyond. She elevated the HO TTEOK. A Korean pancake dish that's served with a sweet nutty filling and partnered with a house-made black sesame seed salted caramel ice cream. Available at Ginzadon, you should definitely try this out. For someone that might be in a hurry or just in Resorts World for a quick snack, Mark Bautista's PEANUT BUTTER CUPCAKES are a must. Believe it or not, I didn't think highly of it. BUT, one bite and I should have not judged the book by its cover. It has a creamy center and the cupcakes are moist. Delicious and deadly, this is available at Cafe Maxims.
Here is Chef Cyrille "Cicou" Soenen together with some of the celebrities. I can't wait to return and enjoy the different dishes that Resorts World Manila offer. To think, when you order these dishes, you're able to help the COR foundation, Pasay City Social and Welfare Development, and the Right Start Foundation. Amazing.

On a personal note:
I hope you guys get to visit Impressions in Resorts World Manila. I know for a fact that Chef Cicou will definitely take care of you and that their dishes are really delicious.

HYATT CITY OF DREAMS MANILA: DISHES TO TRY AT THE CAFE

One of the things that I look for when visiting a restaurant or a hotel buffet would be the staff and the people behind them. Of course, food quality and choices are on the top of the list but the people behind the counter matters a lot as well.
Just a week back, I found myself in the CITY OF DREAMS MANILA. To be more specific, I was in HYATT'S The Cafe. During this event, I met the newest FNB director of Hyatt City of Dreams Mr. Chad Ogdenn. He brings with him 27 years of rich culinary experience while working in different hotel and restaurants around the world. With his new post, he brought in his love for food. I believe you can't be in the industry without being madly deeply in love with it. Because of that, I'm pretty much happy with how things are looking up at HYATT CITY OF DREAMS MANILA.
Going back, the buffet at The Cafe is still large and spacious. You get a dose of different cheeses and appetizers, main courses, Chinese cuisine, pasta, pizza, meat carvings and a long line for dessert items.
Aside from the different items that you could pick, Chad has a few favorite dishes that you have got to try. These would include the yakitori, deep dish Chicago style pizza, and even the black pepper beef.
Personally though, I'm in love with their take on the crispy pata. Juicy, tender, and moist, it can't get better than this. The crunchy skin is the most soft after piece of the pata. You gotta try their version out.
The Cafe is located at the Ground Level of Hyatt City of Dreams Manila. You could contact them at (632) 691 1234 extension 1162.

YOUR HOTEL TAIPEI: 5 Reasons Why I Enjoyed Staying Here.

Just a few weeks ago, I was lucky to have stayed at YOUR HOTEL in TAIPEI.  It was a fun time and I had a blast.

In case you missed it, I already wrote about YOUR HOTEL HERE. Here are a few reasons as to why I enjoyed my stay there:
1) Your Hotel is close to the Metro. It's a 3-5 minute walk. As with any travels, being close to the public transportation is important and a must. If you're not really going around, a single journey token would be enough. PROTIP: Get an IC CARD as it gives you 20% off Metro fare.
2) It's very close to street food. Just outside Your Hotel is the GUANGZHOU ST NIGHT MARKET.
One of the four different night street markets, you get to have access to delicious dishes.
You get to have a dose of sausage wrapped in sticky rice plus other mouth watering snacks.
3) One thing I noticed too was that the street food here are more affordable compared to the touristy Shilin and Raohe Night Market. Granted that you might find more options there, I saw and compared that some stalls in the Guangzhou night market are cheaper by a few TWD.
4) You're a few steps away from the famous SNAKE ALLEY. The Huaxi St Night Market is somewhat different from others because it is fully covered and is also open during the day.
Aside from the usual restaurants, you get to see real snakes. It's one of the few places that still has old school stores as well. They sell different snake dishes to guests and even have stores for traditional medicine.
If you're a bit adventurous go for it and try a snake soup.
5) Another must visit when in the area would be the LONGSHAN TEMPLE. One of the oldest in Taipei, you could see the different elaborate design around it.
As you enter, there's a waterfall like fountain on the right side that has some fishes in it.
When I visited, some patrons were praying as it was the Ghost Month.
Thank you very much YOUR HOTEL for the wonderful stay.

SALVATORE CUOMO: BEST AFFORDABLE PASTA PIZZA BUFFET IN BGC

When in Bonifacio Global City, I would always find myself looking for something worth my while. Something not overly expensive yet it would give me bang for my buck. Thankfully SALVATORE CUOMO answered my calls.
No doubt, this has got to be the most value for money buffet you could find in BGC right now. Salvatore Cuomo is now celebrating their anniversary with a buffet that would definitely entice you to come back for more.
Diners are left impressed with this lunch anniversary buffet. From Mondays to Sundays, SALVATORE CUOMO has the PIZZA and LUNCH BUFFET ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL. For only 600Php for weekdays and 900Php for weekends, guests are entitled to a main course, unlimited pizza, soup, salad, appetizers and drinks.
Starting off with some healthy options, one could go for a make your own salad. Here, you could mix and match different fresh veggies to create your masterpiece.
While there are a number of appetizers like pumkins and frittata, the end of the line would show different pizzas on display. While they rotate these bad boys to other flavors after every so often, you can't help but get a couple more slices of the cheese flavored covered with honey.
You could see how freshly made each one is. With excellent ingredients selected for each dish, you are assured of the quality and the taste that comes with each bite.
For the main course, patrons are given the option to choose between a few dishes.
Pasta choices are abundant and would work well if you're part of the group. You could mix and match and share it with one another.
One could go for this clams and zucchini spaghetti as well. Filled with flavors of the sea, it's light and goes well with the different dishes on the buffet spread.
You could also go for some Pan Fried Salmon and Seafood Skewers. Take note though that seafood and meat options adds an additional 300 Php to the bill.
Meat lovers need not worry as SALVATORE CUOMO got you covered. This Porchetta is deadly. Partnered with the right type of carbs, you'll definitely have a blast.
While drinks are also part of the buffet, one has got to go for the SANGRIA'S. These babies pack a punch and are not like those watered down versions you get at other restaurants. Thankfully, the restaurant has a 50% off on them every Fridays and Saturdays.
