Believe it or not, it was my first time to check out BIZU PATISSERIE roughly a week ago. I was intrigued by it since I do receive gifts and packages from friends that came from BIZU. All along, I thought that this restaurant is a dessert and afternoon tea place. Rather, I was surprised to learn that BIZU is actually a well rounded establishment.
Since it is the season to be merry and happy, BIZU PATISSERIE'S Head Chef Alexander Tanco created a new menu that shows and offers Bizu's take on international cuisine. Aside from this new menu, BIZU has brought out a new Christmas Collection that has a number of interesting dishes to have and even to giveaway.
To start things off, a couple of appetizers were served.
The CAVIAR and SMOKED SALMON TERRINE and the WARM BRIE with CARAMELIZED PEAR were placed on the table. Both are pretty good in their own right. Seemingly similar, they both bring different flavors to the table. The caviar and smoked salmon was on the salty side. On the other hand, the caramelized pear partnered with the warm brie made things sweeter.
A personal favorite of mine, the BURRATA WITH BERRIES was a fine choice if in case you wanted things to be healthy yet decadent. The burrata came from Latteria d'Ischia dairy and partnered with fresh vegetables and berries. The balsamic flavor went extremely well with the overall feel of the dish.
To start the meal right, one could go for the LOBSTER ROLL. Air lift daily from overseas, these BOSTON LOBSTERS were sauteed in garlic butter. Topped with lemon aioli, they were pretty good on the buttery brioche bread.
Health-conscious diners need not worry as there's HALIBUT en PAPILOTTE. In terms of presentation, this dish wins. Baked in paper, it's served with Chardonnay cream and risotto.
You'll be happy to know that I went for the TEN HOUR ROAST BEEF BELLY. Tremendously tender, this one is slow roasted to perfection. Angus beef belly was covered with mushroom espagnole with a side of vegetables and potato gratin. It was the perfect plate to end the meal.
If in case you find yourself longing for some BIZU loving, you might like to head on over to BizuChristmas.com or facebook.com/IloveBizu . There, you could check out the catalog and have a fun time choosing from the different items that you may wish to have. Just take note that last day of orders for December 24 is on December 21 and for December 31 would be on December 28.

Bizu is located in Greenbelt 2, Greenhills Promenade, St Luke's Global City, Alabang Town Center, Eastwood Mall, and Robinson's Magnolia.
