I'm definitely excited as I haven't been to Vietnam. With this seat sale, it's another reason for me to go.

At AIR ASIA CREATE CAMP, they looked for the people with the raw talent to make them into the next AIRASIA STORYTELLER. Since AirAsia has been named as the World's Best Low-Cost Airline for the 9th consecutive year, it's just fitting for them to give back and develop the talent of these young travelers to create that next viral video.
Just a couple of days ago, AIR ASIA PHILIPPINES finally announced the 5 finalist of the CREATECAMP. Aside from the obvious bragging rights, the winner of this camp would have Php 1,000,000 worth of flights, Apple Macbook Pro 13", Nikon D6500 Camera, and a 3days/2nights accommodation at Amorita Resort Bohol.
The send-off was headed by no less than the CEO of AIRASIA PHILIPPINES, Capt. Dexter Comendador.
After his speech, videos upon videos were shown on stage together with the RANSOM COLLECTIVE playing different songs to accompany them.
Finally, the participants were named. They are: Paolo Garrido, Raymundo Baguilat, Beatrice Paragas, Angela Cara Durano, and John Paul Saluba. They will then be on their journey to different provinces in the Philippines to create new and exciting content for AirAsia Philippines.

As you enter, you are greeted by the feeling of relaxation while in a work mode atmosphere. Bean bags and other comfortable seating arrangement are right smack in the middle.
Holding the SANTAN FOOD FESTIVAL event here gave influencers and the media a glimpse into the different dishes AIR ASIA wants to share. Being the first ever, this is the largest inflight food tasting event in ASIA. Featuring meals from across the region, AIR ASIA wants its guests to enjoy and have a peek into the culture and different flavors one has to offer. It's like you're already traveling and experiencing food even while on the plane.
According to AIRASIA GROUP CEO TAN SRI TONY FERNANDES, food is a unifying factor across the region. It's one of the reasons why we travel. Thus, they created this endeavor. SANTAN which means coconut, is the unifying term used to describe the different flavours of the ASEAN that AIR ASIA wants to deliver.
From the latest signature dish of THAI GREEN CURRY, one could also go for the NASI LEMAK. It's like a mixture of spices and heritage rolled into the dishes. The Curry is a semi-spicy dish that is partnered with fluffy fragrant white rice. On the other hand, the Nasi Lemak is your meal on steroids. It has different parts that makes everything work. From the crispy fried anchovies to the salted peanuts and the chicken, scattered over rice cooked with coconut.
Aside from these, they also had CHICKEN WITH MISO, CHICKEN ADOBO, PAD THAI, and even a mix of Indian food to add to the growing choices. Favorites though would have to be the ADOBO and the PAD THAI. Innovating more, AIR ASIA plans to use green packaging and even install an electronic system to make ordering and payment easier for the guests.

Philippine Air Asia CEO Captain Dexter Comendador was present in yesterday's Maiden flight in the Clark International Airport. He welcomed everyone and affirmed Air Asia's commitment to making travel more accessible and affordable.
Guests were treated to refreshments and even a small program. Lucky patrons were given free round trip tickets and other goodies from Air Asia.
Along with Capt. Comendador, the event was graced with the presence of Mr. Alexander Cauguiran, President of Clark International Airport Corporation and Ronnie Tiotico, DOT (Central Luzon Regional Director).
A ceremonial water salute was prepared and given to the maiden flight of Air Asia Philippines Kalibo to Clark International Airport.
With a flight schedule that would entice guests to travel, it's no wonder why the AIR ASIA group has been awarded World's Best Low Cost Carrier for eight consecutive years running by Skytrax since 2009 to 2016. Flights would be on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Departure from Clark is at 13:35 while departure from Kalibo would be at 12:00.

Air Asia was an airline carrier that I have never flew in before. I didn't know what to expect.
Thursday and I left my place at 6am, thinking that 4 hours would be enough for me to get to the airport. The boarding time was 10:50 am and flight at 11:30am. Guess what? I arrived at 10:25am. I was really cutting it close. The traffic in the airport area seemed a little far fetched. I was contemplating if I should go out and start walking towards the terminal because I might get late. Thankfully, I knew I was going to be pampered by PHILIPPINES AIR ASIA and VIKINGS LUXURY BUFFET. Everything seemed okay! Checking in was a breeze. No lines no hassle at AIR ASIA's Counter.
Terminal 3 is the newest terminal that caters to the flying public. Everything was walking distance and thankfully, there are moving walkway for tired feet.
After boarding and getting into our seats, we were treated to AIR ASIA'S SANTAN MENU. In cooperation with Vikings Luxury Buffet, they came up with a whole new menu for the holiday season. You don't need to be worry about the food as it is certified halal. Dishes are roughly 200+ Php each with dessert at 80Php but if you buy when you book your flights, you get a huge discount.
Very nice, I thought myself. Perfect for the budget traveler.
The dishes in the new menu simply focused on the different cuisines in the region. Snacks such as the GRILLED CHICKEN and CHEESE PESTO would be served during domestic flights and the heavy meals during the international travel.
The KOREAN JAPCHAE and the BARBECUE COLA BEEF looked and smelled delicious.
At first I thought the COLA BEEF was similar to Adobo but it tasted a bit sweet with a hint of COLA flavor. It was unanimous that this dish is definitely a crowd favorite.
The KOREAN JAPCHAE is basically glass noodles cooked to a bouncy bite resulting into a sweet flavor. Nicely done.
For dessert, I had the LEMON TORTE.
It was border like SANSRIVAL. I enjoyed the citrusy taste and the crunch. It wasn't too sweet for me not to eat it.
After a luxurious 3 day stay in HONGKONG, we were on our way back.
I was looking forward to the meal ahead. The BANGUS SISIG and the BUFFALO CHICKEN STRIPS with POTATOES were looking straight at me. I didn't have breakfast so this was perfect!
The BANGUS SISIG is like eating sisig on steroids. The calamansi flavor popped up at the right time. It wasn't too spicy and it was delicious. The BUFFALO CHICKEN STRIPS could have been better. The flavor was there and I enjoyed the baked potatoes but the chicken's texture was soft. IT was no longer crunchy. Maybe it is because of the moisture that it became a bit soggy. Other wise, it was perfectly fine. Maybe, they could have cooked it differently as it would have been a great addition to the menu.
The HOISIN GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH though was pretty good. Flavor wise it was perfect. I would have enjoyed this sandwich more if the bread was not too thick. Maybe they could have the serving size smaller.
For dessert, the BANOFFEE CAKE was a dream. Real banana slices underneath. Not too sweet. This was great meal ender.
I was actually a bit concerned that since we would be eating airline
food up in the air, the flavor would diminish because of the altitude but PHILIPPINES
AIR ASIA did a great job with the in-flight meal. The service was pretty
much wonderful. The crew did everything they can to make the flight
enjoyable and fun.
VIKINGS LUXURY BUFFET in connection with PHILIPPINES AIR ASIA made this trip wonderful. Aside from their amazing partnership, they definitely have made flying and eating more affordable and enjoyable.
