PERFECT PINT: A NEW BEERGINNING in GREENBELT MAKATI

When one talks about beers, it's usually about a night out and with good friends and family. At PERFECT PINT, they create more of these liquid gold just to give you a good time. With a few branches around the metro, one can't help but wonder what is there to enjoy in PERFECT PINT.
To have a great idea of what they are, visit one of their bigger branches in GREENBELT 2. Here, we could see that they have a nano brewery on the 2nd floor that creates different mixtures and concoctions that they put on tap. Not just one or two or three but as much as 20.
For the uninitiated, they could get a flight or a sampler of sorts. Picking 4 different beer flavors, you are given a lot of leeway. From there, one could order more of what they like with full sized glasses.
Fries are a different matter when it comes to PERFECT PINT. Here, you could try go for their POUTINE. Not your traditional version but it does the trick with its huge serving of cheese and gravy smothered on top of the fries.
Aside from their PIZZAS (which are a sure hit between drinkers and foodies), you would never go wrong with the KAPAL FACE. Thick cuts of pork face is deep fried to give you that crunchy yet juicy beer partner. It's like crispy pata on steroids.
If that isn't enough for you, the HEAP OF BACON would do the trick as well. This home made version was marinated and given a lot of tender, love, and care to get that amazing bite. It isn't too salty and had the right texture and ratio of fat to meat. Something like 50:50.
PERFECT PINT also have something "healthy" for seafood lovers. Aside from the surf and turf, which has ribs and huge shrimps, they have this sizzling OYSTER SISIG. Crunchy oysters that is given the sisig makeover. Oily and deadly but still somewhat perfect for everybody.
Not to be missed would be these TUNA TENDERS. Grilled tuna that are delightful on their own. Try to eat them first and judge the texture and flavor before you ask which part of the fish they are. Believe me, it's worth it.

PERFECT PINT started in a small place in BGC and now has grown into multiple branches and with its own brewery. There is no other way to go but up.

THE PERFECT PINT: Where Drinking is the Game

One Friday night, to avoid the traffic that hounds the metro, My friends and I gathered in THE PERFECT PINT to share a glass of beer and amazing food.

PERFECT PINT is found on the second floor of CROSSROADS Bldg in BGC. You really can't miss it.

Not my first time,  as I had a couple of beer here with my relatives a few months back. So I had no problem with parking and searching for the place.

One thing that I liked is the pub feel and the different sayings on the wall and on the mirrors.

Beers are abundant in the PERFECT PINT. You could go for dark ones to mild and even deep flavor. Some are also brewed by local guys so you can taste the different flavors pretty well.

Since I did go for the food, we were served appetizers first.
The OYSTER SISIG. Has a little crunchy part but the texture feels a little odd. Or maybe it's just me.

The TUNA TENDERS are just amazing. These deep fried beer battered tuna testicles are incredible. The taste is just wow but the texture is somewhat different since they are testicles. Perfect for any drink you may want to partner it just think of them as balls. Enjoy and have fun. Must try!!!

If you are into Pizza, The TRUFFLE PIZZA is your bet. This thin crust is topped with Mozzarella and Gruyere. Truffle cream and paste are also added to achieve that flavor.

If you are a heavy eater, you must get the KAPAL FACE with House Pickles.
This baby right here is crunchy all over. Think and imagine CRISPY PATA. In this dish though, you only get the crispy parts because the PIG'S face is used. Everything is super crunchy!

Another perfect beer pair is the SAUSAGE PLATTER. Four different huge sausages with a side of fries are served to entice you to drink some more. Different beer gives off a different taste when partnered with this sausage. I would usually go for the tame and mild sausage rather than the heavy and peppery one.

One dessert that was amazingly plated was the BAKED CARAMEL BROWNIE SMORES with RHUM RAISIN ICE CREAM. Given that it was a bit too sweet, I stayed away from it and only had a tiny taste. IT was warm chocolate brownie love. The touch of marshmallows just made it perfect.

When in BGC, THE PERFECT PINT is the pub or watering hole that you could visit for different beers. Their dishes are perfect beer matches. The only thing that could prohibit one from going is that the food quantity is a lot and the prices are a little on the high end side. Mostly, you would see expats as the patrons to this restaurant. Service was excellent. Taste was perfect. Cheers.

CASA NOBLE and COINTREAU makes Your Perfect Margarita

On a sleepy and wet Thursday night, my friends and I were treated to a very special drink. The Margarita.

Of course, it was so simple that you could make it all wrong. One thing I learned though was that CASA NOBLE and COINTREAU makes it an awesome drink. Smooth and close to perfect. Having the best ingredients to use in a drink definitely makes it a whole lot better to drink.

CASA NOBLE is not your ordinary tequila. Different kind for a different drink. It is smooth and perfect for that shot every guy and gal wants. This premium TEQUILA is not like your normal run of the mill. It is 100% organic and gives off a different clean taste.

COINTREAU, on the other hand, is what makes everything better.  Made by science, this citrusy alcoholic drink will make your senses go wild.

Yes, you could drink them on the rocks or straight as it is. WHY not make them more fun? BY making them into YOUR PERFECT MARGARITA.

It might be a little COINTREAUVERSIAL but heck, you would have a grand time!

That night, DJ JESSICA MILNER started the party with awesome sounds

Her skills are the bomb and I must say, she knows her stuff.
Not only can she spin, she also knows that partying is important to everyday life.
Glass for two?

One can't live on drinks alone. Thankfully TODD ENGLISH was able to provide. Among all the food they gave us,  I liked the rolls.
 and their crunchy pizzas.

With the presence of BAR MAN LEE WATSON, one of the most sought after mixologist in the metro, he was able to demonstrate how to properly do a MARGARITA.
With all of the steps, you can't really follow it but this allowed us to shake it and make some for ourselves.  Giving it a try and enjoying everything else.

Basically, A MARGARITA is just a simple drink. Yet, it is so easy to mess up. Having the best ingredients would make it amazing. Thus, CASA NOBLE and COINTREAU.

With awesome drinks... Awesome friends are also there.
Pepe samson, Chuckie and Yen Dreyfus, Dude for food, and I

Can't wait to have a shot or two of that CASA NOBLE and COINTREAU.

TIPPLE & SLAW: Perfect Chow for lunch, snack and dinner

I found myself wanting more. I was tired of the usual fast food fare and I was craving for awesome comfort food. TIPPLE and SLAW certainly delivers.

Not only do they serve amazing drinks but TIPPLE and SLAW is a legit place to have your lunch, snack and dinner. TIPPLE and SLAW have an amazing menu that serve meals that make you happy.

I tried their offerings once and I vowed that I will return. In the past month, I did. Twice.

I was with friends from #thektg and had an awesome lunch. Yes, I did go hungry. Super duper thanks to CHEF FRANCIS LIM! (of NAV and MELTING POT fame)

Drinks were served first. Strawberry Iced Tea, Arnold Palmer and  Orange Iced Tea.
Refreshing drinks for the hot summer.

UMAMI FRIES (250Php) is the perfect snack. Containing truffle and everything umami. From seaweeds flakes to Japanese Mayo.

TATER TOTS with duck fried meat. Another great beer match dish.

A crown favorite was up next. The CHICKEN NUGGETS (250Php)
None of that greasy stuff. This has all the sauces that you would want. From mustard, ketchup and their very own bbq sauce that goes with everything.

DUCK SLIDERS were also a nice treat. It is your duck burgers on steroids.

Another sandwich not to be missed is the PORCHETTA SANDWICH (350Php). This was overflowing with porchetta. The bread was cooked perfectly and the sauces goes well with it.

MAC and Cheese. Super cheesy favorite. They made it right.

Their take on red sauce. It was a genius move to put some pesto on top.

Carbonara with Bacon Bits. It also have bits of gorgonzola but it went well with it perfectly.

For the mains, might I remind you to order rice. Not just any kind of rice but their DIRTY RICE!
It is so bad and wrong but good. Fried rice with all the chicharon to make it deliciously fatty.

Tipple's FRIED CHICKEN. Creamy sauce with some caviar. This dish is properly marinated and is a steal.

Don't also forget to try out their LAMB. This has the distinct lamb flavor and goes well with the salad mixture on the side.
The minty sauce makes the dish perfect.

To end the meal, we had the SMORES ICE CREAM SANDWICH.
Ice cream inside while graham crackers on the side. The marshmallow on top is just the icing!

TIPPLE and SLAW is the perfect place for a nightcap or a meal for lunch or dinner. Honestly, the prices are competitive with other establishment in the area. The food is superb and I don't mind that they have alcoholic drinks on the side too. Can't wait to go back.
