This is not your ordinary munchin. It looks normal from the outside but these donuts are different. MILKY DUST DONUTS is extraordinary. A brainchild of Twinkle Lacsamana, this is her labor of love.
Sprinkled with sugar dusting, different small balls of fun would surprise customers. Each has a filling that would make you want to eat more.
Mocha would definitely be our favorite. The mixture found inside makes it a perfect one for coffee lovers.
Chocolate tastes a bit traditional for me. The bread is soft and moist. They're pretty good as a snack on the go.
There's also a milky vanilla flavor and ube cheese. The vanilla is a little too sweet for me. The ube has a familiar cheese flavor inside it. Maybe next time, I'll ask her not to add sugar coatings so that I can eat some more.
You could check them out in instagram @milkydustdonuts . They're based in Edsa, Pasay. They currently have 4 flavors. Dark Mocha, Ube Cheese, Vanilla Milk, and Pure Chocolate.
Disclaimer: wrote this based on my experience. I ordered and paid for some of these donuts but where also given some as a treat.
If there was one hotel buffet that I was proud of, it would be HOTEL JEN MANILA'S LATTITUDE. There has been an increased in its guests because of the quality of the dishes that it serves. It may not have a large number of dishes but it does make them so with flavor in mind. Basically, they have everything that you may want and with service in mind, they got your back.
Checking them out on Chinese New Year was a treat. Aside from the different stations that you would see on a normal day, they made sure to have a number of Chinese dishes in the spread. Steamed whole fish and a number of pecking duck, chicken dishes, and liempo were prepared to fill up the guests' tummies.
The pecking duck was pretty good as it was sliced as you requested for it. The skin was perfect and the meat tender.
Speaking of meat, their prime rib is a must. Juicy and soft to the bones, each bite would yield a mouthful. If it's too red for you, you could ask them to sear the slice of steak to your liking.
Now, they also had a number of dumplings and dimsum and even siopao on hand. I got to say though that they're pretty good. The siopao wasn't dry and it was filled with pretty good asado fillings. Now, the chicken with lemon was pretty sweet but not overly so. It's what you could call a perfect rice match.
Now, Lattitude of HOTEL JEN MANILA has more to offer. Daily, they change their spread to adapt to a different theme. Sometimes it could be Asian, on other days Mediterranean. So, it's basically a surprise for everyone.
Something special is in store for people that would walk the halls of Resorts World Manila this Christmas Season. On December 23-25, guests would be treated to an amazing meal in Impressions.
Impressions is known as the baby of The French Master Chef Cyrille Soenen. Rightfully so as it delivers delicious and special dishes to its patrons.
For the Holiday season, Chef Cyrille and his team created a set that screams how special this season is. To get things started, an Amuse Bouche of Smoked Salmon Roulade with Ricotta cheese was placed on our tables. There's actually Squid Ink Tuile on top just to give it texture. The cheese went extremely well with the salmon.
Engulfed with bacon, this Pork Terrine with Cherry compote makes me want to get more bread. Having a slice on top of a piece of toasts gives the sweetness and the saltiness great balance.
For something warm, the Spiced Pumpkin Soup with Fennel, Sage Craker, and Foie Gras Mousse made everything perfect. If I could have, I would have had another round of this. The foie gras mousse made it decadent and partnered really well with the pumpkin flavor.
For the main course, the Braised Beef Brisket and Mushroom Gratin was served.
A colorful sight, you could see all the colors of the holiday season in this dish. The beef is tender and the gratin compliments it pretty well.
Dessert was a great interpretation of Raspberry Panna Cotta with Red Crumble. Here, there is a spiced ganache and white vodka ice cream. Everything just comes together.
Known as a place to have a great meal, Impressions in Resorts World Manila makes you want to visit. This Christmas Special is available for dinner on Deember 23-25. Also, for lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve.

As a foodie, I always have one of the most problematic job of answering the most asked question ever. "Where will we eat?". It's always "saan tayo kakain?!". It's quite hard to satisfy everyone's cravings and appetites. Thankfully BUFFETS were made.
If there was one SUNDAY HOTEL BUFFET to visit, it would be THE CAFE in HYATT CITY OF DREAMS MANILA. This huge restaurant houses different theaters that would and could cater to your needs, wants, and desires. Here are 5 reasons why you should come on over and visit THE CAFE during SUNDAY BRUNCH.
1) One of the main draw of the Sunday Brunch is their offering of lobsters. Granted that these are slipper lobsters, you could have them cooked based on your preference. Also, they have shrimps, clams, and crabs just to add to the frey.
2) Just beside it, they have an amazing oyster bar that has a huge spread of Fine de Claire Oysters. These aren't your ordinary versions. They are imported and have a sweeter note compared to other oysters I have tasted.
3) They have an extensive carving station. Not only do they have a fine looking roasted pig aka lechon, they also have this HUGE WAGYU BEEF. It's like your dream just came true. It's juicy and tender and terrific. No need to worry as the chef manning the station could grill it for you based on your preference.
4) THEY HAVE FOIE GRAS.
Mic drop and set. These babies are cooked right in front of you. You have the option to add different toppings that would go well with them. Personally, I know that having too much would be bad for you but I had 7 of these babies. My goodness, they were amazing.
5) The buffet comes with unlimited drinks and a selection of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Just having a glass or two of mojito with your sparkling wine sounds right about perfect for brunch.

Of course, The Cafe at the HYATT has more to offer. They have tons of dishes in the spread plus more scrumptious delights like the crispy pata and even a huge shank cooked in red wine.
Also, don't forget to go for their tempuras. They have a number for you to choose from but personal fave would be the ebi or the shrimp.
Of course, they have a number of sushi and sashimi available as well.
And just to top it all of, they have a long table spread filled with sweet endings.
