BGC Eats!!!! Epic Food Tour!

I was super duper excited for what was in store for us yesterday afternoon (awhile ago I mean). My friend and I were to join the 1st public run of BGC Eats. It is a food tour within Bonifacio Global City that showcased different awesome restaurants.
Yeah I brought my baby :D

Let's see what happened.

Smell My Breath at Mad For Garlic

After doing some chores and driving through heavy traffic, my mom and I decided to eat in The Fort. We eventually saw ourselves infront of CPK, IHOP, Mad for Garlic, Gyu-Kaku, and PF Chang's. Since our tummies were on empty, we just randomly picked a spot between these 5 restos. Mad for Garlic got the lucky toss.

That lunch time, I guess we were a bit early because we were the first customers in. Let's see what we had.

Nomama's Ramen and More

A day after Earl's immersion, my family and I ventured out for lunch. It was a Monday and the boy didn't have any classes. Since I had some unused coupons, I suggested we go to Nomama.

TBT Star Movies' Movie Triathlon 2012

Last October, I found myself, dragging my body out of bed really early in the morning. I was going to Resorts World Manila to compete in Star Movies' Movie Triathlon Contest. The call time was 6 am. So, I left my house around 5am. I arrived around 5:45am only to find out that registration starts at 7am and the contest proper will start at 8am. Arghhh!!!!
This wasn't the usual movie marathon but rather a Triathlon.
At first, I was anxious and didn't know what will happen. From what I researched, the first two contests were a marathon. This was when a lot of awesome movies would be shown and one wouldn't be allowed to move, stand up, stretch, sleep, take a washroom break, and talk. What was different this year? I soon found out.

Munching in Chili's

After doing some errands shopping awhile ago, my mom and I met up with dad for lunch. We were supposed to go to Cerchio, but the place was packed and I couldn't park my car. Since we found ourselves no where to eat and in Tomas Morato, we went to our default place of munching. That would be Chili's.

Yeah you guessed it. They serve dad's favorite = salmon.

Quickie delivery. Yellow Cab in the house

Since my brother was coming home from his immersion, we knew he was really hungry. But, he had different things in mind. Rather than going out to eat, he asked that he go home immediately and take a bath.  Maslow's and his priority: a nice long bath before food.

He just asked that he have some pizza and potatoes. So, we went for a Yellow Cab delivery.

Quickie: Serenitea Milk Tea in Shang

Would you believe that it was my first time to check out and try Serenitea?
Yes I know right. I am not the milk tea fan. I am not that passionate when it comes to these things.
My usual go to place would have to be Happy Lemon. I wouldn't even go for their milk tea blends but rather for their cocoa rock salt and cheese (I had this phase where I would always go to their 1st branch in Greenhills and beat the 12 MN closing time for a little treat!!!~ all the way from wherever dinner date I would come from).

Where else but CYMA

I found myself in Shangrila Mall looking for a place to eat. I was with my family minus my lil bro (was in an immersion program for school - YES~!!! time for him to experience a lifestyle change!).
#10 on the list... No thanks.
We were aiming to eat at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen in the new East Wing but we didn't bother with the long line. My family always make it a point not to wait for seats in a restaurant unless if it was absolutely necessary. This wasn't one of those rare occasions. Since we really couldn't decide with where to eat, we found ourselves walking around the mall.

Then, my dad just said, "Let's eat in Cyma...". Since my dad rarely chooses, my mom and I went with what he wanted. For a not so adventurous guy like him, he always go to the places where he feels safe and sure of the taste. Oh and he likes salmon.

Sugary date at Maple's

You see I wasn't in the mood and was actually feeling bad. Because of the awful news I got, my mom told me I needed a time off to relax. Out of the blue, she woke me up and asked me to eat out. It would be our mother-son date.

Sky Broadband's 15 day trial at home

For the past 3 months, I have been going through an off on phase with my ISP. My internet connection would be gone for half a day to almost 3-4 days. Since I was/am so pissed off with my current internet service provider (ISP) which I have been a subscriber since 2005. I decided to check out Sky Broadband. Our household is a heavy internet user, so I opted to try out their unlimited broadband services.
It was fortunate that they offer a 15 day trial with no cash out and fees.

TBT Boys would be Boys... NSFW

I just received bad news and I am down for the count. I was expecting something more and am hoping to get what I want. I have done everything that was asked of me and I even went the extra mile. This was the first time that something like this ever happened to me. I just hope and believe that God would help and guide me to where I am supposed to go. We all know that he has a plan for us and I dear say that He is always there. I just feel so down. I might go for a full blown beard again because of this. No more clean cut Jack.

Being in a state of shock and denial, I looked back into the past and saw some great things that I would want to share with you. Although this is only for ADULTS, I only wish to share my previous experience in an event that I was able to join. Everything was wholesome and remembering what happened that night made me laugh a little and not think about my worries.

So please do not open if you are with kids and you do not have an open mind. You have been warned.

Ganso Shabuway at Shangri-La

Okay, I will be the first to say it. I do not like cooking my own food. I mean when I am in a restaurant, I expect them to do the cooking for me. Right? I really do not like grilling restos and those shabu shabu place. I would rather they bring me the food and I eat eat eat!
Sadly (lol!), we were eating lunch for father's day last Saturday. Of course I can't say no to my dad. He loves shabu shabu. He loves eating balls and dunking meat in hot soup to cook them. So, he chose that kind of a restaurant. Since we were off to Shangri-la Mall to watch a movie, I suggested we take on this new restaurant that has been serving some mean shabu. According to my friends, they enjoyed eating here so I said ... GO GO GO.

Mc Surprise

A few hours ago, when my mom came home. She brought us a little midnight surprise.
Since she loves to surprise and feed us kids. (Yes!!! I am still a kid). She got this.
I am really thankful for mom because she loves us to bits. She keeps on asking us if we want anything else or if she should get more food. **yeah.. that's why I am this big...**
She is also up to date when it comes to new offerings of different fast food restaurants and got one (actually 2) of this. My brother, who was still up, just continued with his computer games.
I, on the other hand, knew that this would be a treat. There are those times that I crave for something spicy. I was also happy that a full chicken burger cost only less than 100 bucks. DIRT CHEAP I TELL YOU!!!
Yeah... CALORIES CALORIES! But who is counting? The chicken was well spiced up. It had the right amount of heat anyone would need. Compared to Kfc's Zinger, this one is a good competitor. Both are spicy and crunchy. I think this is infront because it is more affordable. Hope you guys get to try one too.... Thanks mom you are the best!!!!

Me time at Bioessence Serenity Spa

Yes we guys enjoy some me time from time to time a lot of times(yeah talk about time lol). I would also be the first to admit that I go for the pampering sessions here and there. Especially when I am stressed, my body yearns for a little attention.
Look at that smile...
I have been a loyal customer to The Spa, Bluewater Day Spa and Beijing Foot Spa. I would usually go to The Spa Trinoma when I am super stressed and needed a good back rubbing and some of their ginger tea. When I need a change of pace and some popcorn munching relaxation, I go to Bluewater Day Spa Capitol Hills. For awesome tingling foot reflexology, I schedule a little R and R in Beijing Foot Spa Ill Terrazzo. Ever since, these 3 spas are holy trinity for me.
Since I got a premium pass from BDJ Box, I opted to try Bioessence since it was for free.

Celebrating International Adobo Day with the Filipino Food Network

June 12 is the independence day of the Philippines. I am thankful and grateful for all the sacrifices our ancestors did for us. They are our heroes. For us to enjoy our freedom is only possible because of their blood and sweat. The freedom to choose and to decide on our everyday lives are all because of their actions and ideals. As a proud Filipino, I am sincerely indebted to what they have done.

As part of this year's independence day bash, I was lucky enough to join the official launch of the Filipino Food Network and the celebration of the International Adobo day.
I believe that the same passion of our forefathers are present in this group of young men and women into creating this food network. It clearly caters and shows the different tastes of an everyday Juan in connection to what society is at the present. Their concept is different from the usual product driven shows. They have a more independent feel to how they present their programs.

Getting Tipsy with some Anthon Berg

I am no chocolate connoisseur but when someone gives you some chocolate you devour them at once. Or else...you know what happens right?
On the other hand when there are flavors more than just mere chocolate and it gives you a tad more than that sugary rush feeling, I guess we need to just let the flavors play a lot longer and eat them slowly and sparingly.

Especially when they have a little bit of alcohol in each one of them.

Eating Wildly in Wildflour Podium

One last hurrah. One last dance. One last food tripping with my younger brother as he is to embark in another whirlwind school year in AHS.

I figured that we should go to somewhere he hasn't been to. After asking him a bit, I figured that he was so indecisive so as the kuya I took the lead and left for Podium. Our family when in that area usually goes to Shangri-la or if yabu-needed heads to Megamall. We as a family has never have gone to Podium. Actually now that I think about it, I am the only one who has been there.

I have gone there a handful of times because of Borough and its late night offerings of good booze and comfort food. As such, I have not pass the 1st floor barrier.

I am not saying I tried them all.. but I had a few. (>.<)
Anyway... since we love to eat. We went to Wildflour.

Ribs ribs ribs and more ribs in Hawaiian Bar-B-Que

May 30, 2013

After driving for 2 and a half hours from Quezon City all the way to Tagaytay, I was famished!
I really needed to refuel my tummy because if I don't I might just shrink... (as if!) It made that ringing sound...
It was a sign... so I saw a sign...
This was always telling me to go here. Every time I was in Tagaytay, I would always pass by it. All I could hear from my tummy was Go go go!!!
